Citizen Leaders Fellowship Flourishes

UVA international students and student-athletes participate in final presentations
International Citizens Fellows

On April 18 and May 3, 22 international students and scholar-athletes from 2022-23 cohorts gathered to present their projects to fellow students, faculty, coaches, and administrators.

Projects included improving international student orientation; hosting festive meals for international students; mentoring area high school football players; advocating for cheerleading to be recognized as an official sport; and helping advise UVA's Honor Committee.

The fellowship is a collaboration between the International Student and Scholar Program and the Contemplative Sciences Center and is run by Caren Freeman and Leslie Hubbard with support from Ellen Graves.
