Mandira Banerjee

Mandira Banerjee joined as Global Communications Officer for UVA Global in January 2020. In her role, she oversees communications on UVA’s global engagement, storytelling covering student and faculty’s research, global programming and UVA Global’s social media presence.

A graduate of Boston University, Mandira has worked as an international journalist in India covering major national and international news events and national documentaries . She has also worked as a producer and associate producer at Public Broadcasting Service, and Voice of America before joining University of Michigan in 2008 where she was part of the team that launched international communications at U-M.
