Global Week

Global Week at UVA is a celebration of International Education Week (IEW), which was initiated by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education initiated IEW in 2000. The purpose of Global Week is to promote and celebrate international programs and to encourage participation in them.

Students, faculty, and staff at the University engage in a variety of study abroad programs, research, collaboration, and service across the globe. All of these activities result in a knowledge exchange that enriches the community on Grounds and around the world.

Global Week at UVA will showcase international activities through a series of events throughout the week of October 19th. Please continue to check back for updated information about the schedule of events. If your UVA department or organization would like to host an event during Global Week, please submit your event online. If you are a CIO and would like to apply for funding to host a Global Week event, please submit your application by September 30th.
