Meet the players traveling to South Africa this June for "Game Change: Rugby, Race, and Reconciliation!” In Global Affairs’ latest course in an emerging series exploring the links between sports and global politics, these members of UVA's men's and women's rugby clubs will participate in an intensive two-week program blending academics, athletics, and community engagement. Through lectures, field visits, and training sessions with local teams, they will examine how rugby has both reflected and shaped South Africa’s complex racial and political history.
