The event seeks to give the music lovers of the Charlottesville community a cost-free opportunity to enjoy Indian classical music from some of the top Carnatic musicians in the world. The artists will also be accompanied by some of their senior disciples. 

About the Artists

Delhi P. Sunder Rajan is the disciple of Sangeethabhushanam Pudukkottai Shri V. Janakiraman, carrying the legacy of Flute legend Brahmashri Sarabha Sastrigal. With over four decades of global performances, he has won prestigious awards like Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu and Sangeetha Kala Sagaram. 

Neyveli Narayanan is a Mridangam prodigy and an All-India Grade A artist, having shared the stage with Grammy Award winner Tabla Maestro Zahir Hussain and Violin maestros Sri Ganesh Kumaresh. He has performed all around the world, ranging from India, the US, Europe, and Asia. 

The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) at the University of Virginia is a nonprofit organization that strives to share Indian culture and heritage.
