There is a growing sense that there have never been so many global risks. Fifty-four civil wars or conflicts going on around the world, over a 100 million displaced, 258 million people facing acute food insecurity or worse, and a growing climate crisis. International Rescue Committee President David Miliband will discuss how if you look at the statistics you get depressed, but if you look at the people you can have hope. In this talk, Miliband will outline a solutions-driven, action-oriented approach to propel the humanitarian sector forward to meet this new moment.
