On November 14 at 7pm, the musicians Alicia Svigals and Donald Sosin will be visiting UVA’s Old Cabell Hall Auditorium to accompany the 1923 silent film The Ancient Law. Sosin is one of the best-known contemporary composers of silent film music, and Svigals is an incredible klezmer violinist. Set in the 19th century, the film follows an aspiring young actor who moves to Vienna from his small Jewish community in Galicia.
