Emily Mellen

Emily Mellen joined the Global team as a PhD+ intern in 2021 and now holds the position of Global Communications Assistant, as well as the State Department Diplomacy Lab Coordinator for the University. In her communications role, she assists in social media engagement, global programming, and storytelling on all things global at UVA. She also holds a PhD in Music from the University of Virginia and currently teaches in the Engagements program in the College of Arts & Sciences as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
