Bio

Dudley Doane is Director of the International Studies Office (ISO) and Summer and Special Academic Programs.  He oversees UVA Education Abroad, the International Students and Scholars Program, the Lorna Sundberg International Center, Summer Session, January Term and the Center for American English Language and Culture (CAELC). Dudley holds degrees from Bowdoin College (AB – German & History), the School of International Training (MAT - TESOL), and the University of Virginia (PhD – Education). Dudley’s work has included assignments in Ecuador, South Korea, and Indonesia.  Grants include USIA and Fulbright funded projects. He is a Griffin Advising Fellow in the College of Arts and Sciences and has taught courses on global education administration and TESOL Theory and Method. He is a member of AIEA, NAFSA, and the Forum on Education Abroad.
