Free, 20-30 minute tours are offered every day at the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia. The tours are at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, led by passionate volunteer guides and museum staff. How have Indigenous Australians shared their art with the world? How did their art change the face of global contemporary art? What kind of a relationship to Indigenous artists have with their land? How do their beliefs inform their art? How has their art been used as a tool for social justice? These and many more fascinating questions are explored in our daily tours.
Reservations to visit the museum are encouraged, but an additional reservation is NOT needed to attend the tour. If you are visiting with a group of 16 people or less, you can simply make a reservation at, or close to, the tour time you prefer. If you are visiting with a group of more than 16 people, please call the museum at 434-243-8502 and we will help you reserve your tour.
