Connected Urban Ecologies showcases the work, explorations, and research undertaken as part of the 2022 Venice Program, one of the longest running study abroad programs in the School of Architecture's history. This fall 2022 studio explored the nature of a twenty-first century connection that would enrich the reality of Venice’s interdependence with the mainland, while catalyzing new approaches to the relationship between Venice and its lagoon. The presented material questions the urban footprint of the city and reimagines Venice's links to the mainland on which it depends, and to the surrounding lagoon.
